Penang Bridge International Marathon - Penang Bridge, at 13.5km, is one of the world longest bridge. Since Sept 1985, more than 130,000 vehicles ply across the Penang Bridge daily and this monumental bridge is only closed to traffic once a year for only ONE occasion.......The Penang Bridge International Marathon! Penang Bridge is a vital link connecting Penang Island and Perai on the mainland of West Malaysia. It provides an efficient, fast and most convenient passage to motorists with a modest traveling time of approximately 11 minutes during peak hours and 9 minutes during off-peak (speed limit of 70km/hour). As one of Asia’s longest bridge, this national icon is has played an important role as the catalyst for economic development for the State of Penang.
Please note that between 1am to 3am, road to Queensbay Mall will be closed as we will be getting ready for Full Marathon's flag off. It will only re-open after the last Full Marathon runner finished this first 7km. If you are coming to Queensbay Mall, best to come in before 1am or after 3am.
